Beignets Wafu
4 days ago began the wonderful festival of Hanukkah, which celebrated for 8 days redédication the Second Temple in Jerusalem after the victory of Judah Maccabee over the Syrian-Greek army of King Antiochus Epiphanes. One of the customs of Hanukkah is to eat foods fried in particular fritters sweet. A year ago, I took great pleasure in organizing a round of donuts through revenue gleaned from several countries with the hope to continue my path for this new Hanukkah. Unfortunately this year with my new little princess, I could not continue to explore other varieties of donuts in the world .. avait eu la riche idée de nous la faire partager. I keep in my archives for the occasion since Keiko was a rich idea to us to share. The recipe for these cakes wafu (in Japanese) was created by a famous Japanese confectioner, Hironobu Tsujiguchi for the Japanese edition of Elle à Table: cream-filled pastry, they are full of sesame seeds that add a touch of crisp and delicious Asian note.
- 280g flour T55
- 1.25 cc instant dry yeast
- 30g sugar
- Salt 1 cc
- 1 whole egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 100 ml milk
- 30g butter
- oil for frying
- garnish: pastry cream, jam, sesame seeds
Put oil in a heated container large enough to cook several pancakes at a time. (whether the oil is ready for frying, dip a small piece of bread: it must rise to the surface immediately surrounded by bubbles and slightly brown).
Fry the fritters until they are inflated (the size of a golf ball) and gold (back to the mid-cooking) and then drain on absorbent paper.
Fill with pastry cream pastry pocket with a small tube and filling the hole in the donut piercing on the merits.
These fritters can also be consumed natures, just sprinkled with sugar possibly flavored with cinnamon or powdered sugar.
The children loved the pancakes, which I believe have the perfect size: they are small, they contain just enough cream without being disgusting .. hence, can be reused!
